Small Town News is a high-energy five-piece band blending classic rock, blues, country, and Americana. Known for soulful harmonies, tight musicianship, and infectious stage presence, the group delivers crowd-pleasing sets of timeless covers and original material. Their performances create an atmosphere of joy, connection, and genuine camaraderie that appeals to audiences of all ages.

Formed in 2021 and based in Henderson, Tennessee (serving the Jackson area and beyond), Small Town News combines classic/southern rock, rhythm & blues, country, and Americana with tight harmonies and dynamic energy. The band’s chemistry is evident in every performance: Mike McCutchen anchors rhythm guitar and delivers soulful vocals; Matt Sokoloski adds commanding stage presence and percussion; Lee Hibbett provides expressive lead guitar and rich harmonies; Mark Blackwelder holds down the groove on bass with vocal depth; and Ryan Fraser drives the rhythm on drums while adding flair on harmonica.
