Stop 2: Farmers’ Market

In the warmer months, The West Tennessee Farmers’ Market is at its prime with a large selection of vendors and local food trucks. Grab a cup of specialty coffee, a seasonal plant, and beautifully handcrafted home decor pieces. You’ll want to try a warm donut the size of your face from The Donut Truck, a favorite among Jackson locals.

Stop 3: Legends of Tennessee Music Museum at the Carnegie 

Your next stop, The Legends of Tennessee Music Museum at the Carnegie, honors music legends who called West Tennessee “home,” like Carl Perkins, Tina Turner, Sonny Boy Williamson, and W.S. Holland.  Explore rock’s beginnings in Jackson, which have been acknowledged by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and Elvis.

Stop 5: Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum

Once your belly is full, walk over to Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum. Take a step back in time to 1900 to the time of Casey Jones, a locomotive engineer who went down in history as a folk hero after his heroic death in a 1900 train crash in which all passengers were saved but himself. Tour Casey Jones’ historic home, climb aboard the 35-ton Engine 382, and discover the tale about Casey’s heroic last ride.

Stop 6: Miss Anne’s Ice Cream & Candy Shoppe at The Old Country Store

It’s time for a good, old-fashioned afternoon treat! Miss Anne’s Ice Cream & Candy Shoppe feels like a time capsule from the 1890s. Indulge in a scoop or two of classic Blue Bell ice cream and admire the shop’s nostalgic feel. Be sure to snap a photo of the antique soda fountain, which is over 130 years old and is only one of three of its kind known to exist today!

Stop 3: Rusty’s TV and Movie Car Museum 

Rusty’s TV & Movie Car Museum is a Jackson gem featuring two buildings with over 50 cars, motorcycles, props and memorabilia from iconic movies and television shows. The screen is brought to life with authentic cars used in movies and shows, as well as replicas. Some favorites include The Mystery Machine, Tow Mater, a Jurassic Park Jeep, Cousin Eddie’s RV, and the 1976 AMC Pacer from “Wayne’s World.”
